If traffic from a Penduses IP address is attacking, spamming or otherwise harming you, tell us. Email abuse@penduses.com.
What to include
- The IP address you saw the traffic from.
- The date and time, in UTC or with your time zone. Please report within 30 days: that is how long we keep connection metadata for static egress. We can tell which customer held an address for up to 12 months.
- What happened: the protocol and port, the target, and how it hurt you.
- Evidence: a log excerpt, or for spam the full message headers.
- How to reach you, and whether we may pass your details to our customer.
Please do not send passwords, private keys or personal data that we do not need.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your report by email. We aim to review every report within 24 hours of receiving it. The pilot is best effort, so this is a target and not a promise.
- We find out which customer used the address at that time.
- If the report is credible we suspend first: the service is paused while we investigate.
- We contact the customer, and where it is right to do so, we quarantine the address before it is used again.
- We tell you the outcome where we can. We may not be able to share details about our customer.
The rules behind this are in our acceptable use policy.
Law enforcement and legal notices
Send requests from authorities and legal notices, including copyright complaints, to the same address. Please state the legal basis and give us enough detail to find the traffic. We answer valid requests as the law requires and we do not give out customer data without a valid basis.
False or abusive reports
Reports made in bad faith, or in order to disrupt a customer, may be ignored.
